It is served with fresh or toasted pita bread and basically consists of pur\u00e9ed chickpeas and lemon juice. <strong>Tahini<\/strong> is an essential ingredient for making authentic hummus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"column one-second\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_1 et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_text_align_left\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<p><strong>What do you need?<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Ingredients for 4 people:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>500 g cooked chickpeas<\/li>\n<li>Juice of 2 lemons<\/li>\n<li>3 tablespoons tahini<\/li>\n<li>3 crushed garlic cloves<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>Olive oil<\/li>\n<li>Fresh parsley<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_2 et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_text_align_left\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<p><strong>Preparation:\u2028<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Pur\u00e9e the chickpeas with a little of the cooking water until you have a smooth paste.<\/li>\n<li>Add the tahini, crushed garlic, lemon juice and salt. Beat to a creamy consistency.<\/li>\n<li>Pile onto a serving dish and drizzle with 1-2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil.
